Updated: Works now for 11.0.6002.18065. If you have all WMP updates installed, this is for you! Additionally fixed the 3d border bug (looked ugly) and the pixelished play button (looked even uglier).
With this file, you can easily replace your old-fashioned Windows Media Player 11 skin with the fresh design of the Windows Media Player 12. Taskbar plugin skin included! Images and registry settings by  Taskbar skin and version fixes by me. Installation: -> Take Ownership of the file wmploc.dll in the system32-directory -> Rename it to wmplocvista.dll (or something else). -> Copy the wmploc.dll of this archive into this directory. -> Doubleclick on "Install Font Colors.reg" in this archive. Uninstallation: -> Delete the wmploc.dll in the system32-directory -> Rename your wmplocvista.dll (or whatever you've renamed the original file) to wmploc.dll -> Doubleclick on "Restore Font Colors.reg" in this archive. Tested on Windows Vista SP2 x86. Note: This works for x86 WMP version 11.0.6002.18065 only! If you have another version, I can edit it for you. Just send me a note. |
